Specialists
in Foreign Language Tour Guiding
Our Tour Guiding division, which has operated since the foundation of the company in 1993, specialises in training and providing foreign language Tour Guides to the Irish market for inbound tour operators, both Irish and international, where the language requirements, while concentrating mainly on the principal Western European languages, are increasingly catering to an ever-widening international demand, ranging from Croatian to Thai.
Today, we have a team of over one hundred trained and experienced tour guides spread across Ireland, north and south, offering all major European and world languages, as well as some lesser known ones.
As a Tour Guide Agency, we focus on providing a customised service to a small number of ongoing tour operators who value the quality of our personalised and ‘hands’on’ approach. We also focus on providing a highly personalised service to our tour guides on an ongoing basis.
Since 1995 we have also offered training courses annually for guides during the winter months that combine both theory and practice and are recognised by the Irish tour operators.
Tour Guiding Services
for Tour Operators
We provide qualified tour guides for both coach and walking tours, offering a variety of languages and experience of guiding local tours in Dublin and Environs, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Kilkenny, Belfast and (London)Derry, as well as extended tours around Ireland, including both North and South.
We cater to inbound operators to Ireland, whether based in Ireland or overseas. With more than 20 years’ experience in the marketplace, we not only provide tour guides, but can also offer an advisory service to operators new to the Irish market regarding itineraries and practical matters relating to site visits and timings.
With our large database of guides, we can often assist with last-minute bookings and emergencies, where an individual tour operator may not have this information readily available.
Our tour guides
Operating in the Irish market since 1993 and with our own Tour Guide Training programme in place since 1995, we have specialised in providing foreign language tour guides to tour operators for more than 20 years. We provide trained and experienced guides in all the main European languages, as well as in a wide range of ‘world’ languages.
Our annual guide training programme is a very practical course with 2 module options and plenty of ‘hands-on’ experience, both at local level and across the whole of Ireland.
Apart from training, we offer our tour guides the support of an agency, effectively acting as Manager/Agent and providing them throughout the season with bookings from our tour operator clients, both Irish and international.
Tour operators rely on us to provide them with foreign language tour guides that are competent, experienced and with excellent interpersonal skills. Our guides are a mix of Irish and foreign nationals, most of whom have lived here for a number of years and who are all familiar with the country, its history, culture, music, literature and current affairs. While focussing on foreign languages, we also have a small pool of experienced English-speaking guides available.

German, French, Italian, and Spanish are most in demand, together with Scandinavian languages. There’s also a growing demand for languages such as Russian, some Central European languages, Japanese and the main Chinese dialects (Mandarin & Cantonese). Guiding in English, of course, is also in demand!
We’ve many years’ successful training experience!
We’ve been training tour guides every year since 1995, so we know more than a thing or two about it! While many of our trainees only work for one or two summer seasons, others have left and returned a number of years later, while some have continued to work with us for up to 20 years!
The work is flexible…
You choose to work whenever you’re free during the summer season – weekends, a few days a week, or regularly throughout the whole season. And for one season or many, the choice is yours. Once trained, you’re trained for life!
